HOW DO I JOIN A ZOOM MEETING?

THERE ARE 3 MAIN WAYS TO JOIN A ZOOM MEETING:
A Zoom account is not required if you are strictly joining Zoom Meetings as a participant. If someone invites you to their meeting, you can join as a participant without creating an account.

  • With the Zoom app on your desktop
  • Through a link via your email invitation (No software download required). All you need if you want to use this option is to be given a ZOOM event invitation. E.g. https://zoom.us/j/527477000
  • From the Zoom website (No software download required)

IF YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD THE ZOOM SOFTWARE/APP:

  • WINDOW USERS: If you are accessing ZOOM through a Window based Desktop or Laptop then download the software here: https://zoom.us/download this will automatically download the software.
  • APPLE USERS: Just click on the invitation link send to you by the organiser and this should automatically activate the installation for the zoomusinstaller.pkg.
  • If you are accessing ZOOM through a Mobile or Tablet then download the software here: https://zoom.us/support/download

ONCE YOU HAVE THE APP OR SOFTWARE INSTALLED:

  1. Closer to the meeting, open the Software/App
  2. Click on “Join”
  3. Enter the URL or Meeting code sent to you, for example you might get a txt or email with a link like this: https://zoom.us/j/527477000. In this case the meeting ID is 527477000
